Board Chairman Drew Morrisroe began his information technology career in 1991 when he served as a part time assistant to the director of information systems at InterDigital Communications Corporation, an international wireless digital research and manufacturing firm. He recently received the distinction of “40 under 40” in Philadelphia. This group of 40 young professionals is recognized annually for their roles in the business and civic community. Drew attributes much of his business and personal success to the involvement in a number of non-profit and charitable organizations although the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY) Foundation has been a special focus of his efforts. Among his accomplishments, he involved HOBY with the 1997 Presidents’ Summit for Volunteerism and has traveled with Hugh O’Brian, HOBY’s founder, to him help establish programs in Europe and the Middle East. He has traveled extensively to countries such as Bosnia, Kosovo, Serbia, and Guatemala working with youth afflicted with poverty or who have been victims of war. Drew was presented HOBY’s Alumni Achievement Award in November 2006 in recognition of his work to serve youth throughout the world.
