What TrueUDiscovery would have done for me if I would have participated in this program in high school?

1. I chose Slippery Rock University because:
1. My aunt lived 30 minutes away.
2. It was 6 hours away from home.
3. I knew a few people from high school who went there.
4. The name was exciting


2. I chose Clearwater Christian College because:
1. I wanted to be around Christian people.
2. Spiritual Reasons
3. Warm weather, great location!


3. I chose Liberty University because:
1. It was a Christian school but not as strict as CCC.
2. D1 School.
3. Large school of 10,000 students and growing rapidly.
4. Knew friends who were there who loved it.

All of these reasons are extrinsic reasons besides spiritually. If I would have gone through TrueU when I was in high school I would have known clearly my values, my skills and my career interests. I would have been able to make my college decision based upon “Who I am” and what my “strengths” are rather than extrinsic reasoning. I would have learned the art of networking and have the understanding that you never know who you will meet and how you can help them and how they can help you. I would have been able to do the research beforehand rather than just going to a school based on a whim. It would have given Confidence and I would not have had to change schools 3 times. I would have saved many thousands of dollars knowing what I know now about “Who I am.”
